Annika was born in Point Noir in Congo Brazzaville, and was raised in the heart of Africa. She moved to Sweden as a teenager, where she met Gerda. Together they developed a passion for writing melodic pop music. It took off one very hot summer in Stockholm, when they played on the streets of Gamla stan to afford the rent, and developed their own music and sound in the the EMI studio at night. At the end of the summer they signed a deal with EMI and CNR music. Their band AGA-ordern was formed, mostly performing gigs at clubs in Stockholm.  Annika and Gerda joined up with the musicians from the 70’s band Ragnarrök and went on a tour to Africa, again playing their own songs. The tour resulted in outdoor amphitheater concerts, radio and TV shows, and an invitation to play their music for the president of Burkina Faso. They did so one dark evening at a garden party where baby lions mingled with the guests!!!

Annika then moved to Gothenburg, and formed the band Olivia. Her music with Olivia was well received by audiences and by the press, and was also picked up by local radio stations. Olivia was in 2003 selected as the local band to warm up for the tour “Kalasturnen” in Gothenburg, and also for Thomas Ledin. They were awarded the title “best band” at the Gothenburg Emergenza festival 2004.

In October 2008 Annika released her solo album "Without pride". Although the title suggests differently, it was a proud moment!
